Autonomic polyneuropathy
Autonomic polyneuropathy, also known as autonomic neuropathy, is a type of peripheral neuropathy that affects the autonomic nervous system. The autonomic nervous system controls involuntary bodily functions such as heart rate, blood pressure, digestion, and sweating. When the nerves of the autonomic system are damaged, it can lead to dysfunction in various organs and systems throughout the body.
